Stage 2
We started by blocking off the existing part of the house, so the clients were able to use their kitchen with minimal disruption.
We then prepared the grounds and foundations for the new extension, this included altering the existing drainage to incorporate the new utility waste. Once the groundworks and foundations were ready, we were able to start building the extension around the rear of the house, we used replica London bricks for the extension.
When the new walls were finished, we were able to fit the new engineered lintel above the bifold doors and prepare for the roof.
The extension was then fitted with a new EDPM flat roof, with 2 roof lantern and aluminum roof capping, and bifold doors opening up on to the garden.
Once water tight we were able to screed the floors to create one level floor throughout, to match the existing level in the kitchen, this was in preparation for the plumbed underfloor heating.
